GOSH! It’s been almost 4 months that I have not updated my BLOG! poor blog being abandoned! I promise myself that I will blog about my wedding before my trip to Taiwan!

I re-discover myself after 29years of being a human. LOL. Here’s some facts about what I hate/dislike:

I am not going to reveal to you!

WHY?

Well, if I do, u might HATE me!

So let’s just keep within myself.

I still do not have time to update blog regarding my wedding event! It requires too much effort and time, therefore i decide to blog something else first!

I’ve gotten a little blue box as my wedding gift from my dearest cousin Wai Yee  (she chose it) and Nam Fei (yes, i know, u have share in this…my dear Nam Fei shouted loudly when i receive the gift from the hands of his sister!)

Instead of receiving angpow or gold as my wedding gifts from my relatives, my cousin knows me well…and bought me ‘Tiffany Locks heart lock pendant’ in 18k Rose Gold! oh yeah….I LOVE rose gold!!! thanks my dears….i been wearing the necklace since i got it! hehe….

On the day of Christmas, I decided to check out earring from little blue box shop! *ahem* hints for my new hubby! we walked and decided to check out these ‘Tiffany Bow Earring’ (the ones we see is in rose gold)

I asked the shop assistant, what material is that….and she replied, ‘oh miss, this is rose gold material, not coated with gold, this material is just the same as the necklace you are wearing’

=.=”

apparently, the shop assistant scanned me from top to toe (ok, maybe not toes la…), she watched my rings on my finger, she checked out my necklace and her service was really good…i wonder did i disappoint her by NOT BUYING anything from the shop.

Stay Tune…because…..

Little Blue Box, i am up for MORE!

I felt that my trip is such a short trip & i didn’t want to leave Korea on my last day (i had to go, my reducing pocket $ is forcing me to leave, sob sob). Since i am already back in KL, let’s start to venture into my trip before i forgets it all! (ahhn niyong means goodbye)

*on my way to airport*

23rd July – My flight 5+pm and it took 6hours and 20mins to reach KOREA(my butt was flat by then!) !!!!! i had sleepless hours on the plane, it was really uncomfortable and i didnt like my companion on my left side, which is a Malay auntie who is bigger size than i am, had the arm rest for herself & yet knocks my arm every time she moves! hmph…but lo & behold, i am there! the first thing i did was, to go to the ladies & got shock at how clean it is…they even have the cleaner photo on the way! cool…

Next, we had to take shuttle train to reach the main area for immigration check & baggage claim! so here we go…the crowd which are heading to the same direction!

and we managed to braced through the crowd!!! by the time we are done with everything, it was already 10.30pm (Korea time, an hour ahead of Malaysia)! we meet up our tour guide, Mr Kim and another 6 more ppl who are in the same tour with us! off we go to the hotel…

24th July – last night, we slept at 1am and woke up at 7am, tour guide requested us to have an early morning so we can start off earlier because it take about 2 hour to reach to Nami Island from Seoul! =.=’ we started off with Korean buffet as our breakfast (yes, kim chi was part of every meal we had!). 1st up on the tour was visiting the majestic Kyongbok Palace.

Then we visited National Folkfore Museum. The photo below is actually a coffin, which i think it shapes like a ship!( i dont think they are using it now anymore!)

Next, we went to Dotta Mall, Dong Dae Mun for an hour shopping trip ( i didnt get to buy anything because everything is so expensive there!). We then headed for Nami Island, where Winter Sonata drama filmed, about 2hours drive from Seoul! The place was packed with tourist and locals! I love the greens~ you will feel very comfortable there, thou it is crowded!

Tired from our trip, we head back to hotel (Seorak 1 Park Resort)  for the rest of the night! We had tatami style for the night! Quite an interesting experience and it was chilly up at the mountain. cooling and relaxing!

Before i go to my next itinerary, something funny happened! thanks to my tour guide, else, i would be sleeping on streets for my last night spent in Seoul! we only realized when tour guide asked when are we going back KL after tour ended on Wed (27th July)? OMG…WHAT? we thought the tour was suppose to end on thurs (28th July) and lo&behold, we were DEAD WRONG!  browsing through our itinerary, we realized we booked less one night of hotel stay in Seoul! *panic*

*breathe in, breathe out* we decide to book hotel online…and thank God that Seorak 1 Park Resort had free wifi at their lobby and WE SUCCESSFULLY BOOKED a hotel near Myeong Dong (hot spot for shopping) for only RM270! *yay* i can continue my tour happily!

25th July: As usual, departed the resort at 8am to vist Teddy Bear Museum, where the guide told us that the owner design and hand made all the teddy bear on display! The photo below taken at the souvenir shop (ppstt…i wasn’t allow to take photo there but taken after the sales person told our guide as we do not understand Korean!)

Photo taken in the museum

Mt Sorak National Park is our next destination! it was drizzling due to the misty weather. One of the view when we were walking, on the way up to the cable car & after the cable car, we walked about 10min to the top of the mountain!

The Sinhung temple located few minutes walk from the cable car to Mt Sorak.

After the long tired walk to Mt Sorak, we had lunch! yummy! the owner of the place, planted the vegetable by himself, he prepared kim chi and cooked bibimbap the lunch! best kim chi i had from all the meals..

After our lunch, we proceed to Daepohang, a bustling port with fresh seafood market! we shld have had lunch here! it has fresh fish, crab and squid!!! amazing!!!

We had rice cake as snacks, bought peach (using sign language as the elder seller do not speak English or Mandarin) and our guide treat us squid snack (inside, rice filled!) sedap!!!

Feeling satisfied, we check in to Yongpyong Resort (the best hotel i stayed so farm, with free wifi)! 15mins later, tour guide brought us to our next destination, Peak Island Water Park & Spa (it’s like a mini theme park, where you have water rides, outdoor hot spring and indoor separated by female&male). The locker key was an electronic device! really cool!!

Another interesting thing is, all the Korean ladies, walking NAKED and changing openly in the changing room! *eyes roaming around* i wasn’t really comfortable doing so and i had my clothes (bikini inside)! It was weird as we were the only Malaysian ladies putting on our swimsuit! haha…i couldnt take any photo, even if i did, i would have censored it!

Our resort, is kinda BIG! It has ski activity during winter, ATV, horse riding, sheep feeding and children activity. Night time, the resort had singing competition (my guess coz everything was spoken in Korean!)

26th July: Our breakfast in resort! Apparently, this is one of the filming cafe for Winter Sonata!

We departed to Chelsea Yooju Premium Outlet, where there are hundred top designers like Gucci, Coach, Burberry and many more! It’s off season items and it is really cheaper than shops even after sales.

Next stop, kim chi making session and trying on traditional Korean costume! Korean people eats kim chi for few reasons, one of them is to keep fit and for slimming session! i don’t know whether it is true or not but eating so much of kim chi, i think i will get bored after a week! The ingredients are important element of the taste of kim chi , it has ginseng in it! wow!

My dear kim chi making and it looks like a ball of something!

Korean costume!

the whole tour gang (starting from left to right: raymond (behind andy), desmond (who is behind me), Sue (beside me), Alex (sitting), Winnie & Guan (behind Alex) , Emily & William (far right side)

Next on, LUNCH time before going to Everland! Grill Pork on the menu…you can see, my dearest is hands on with the cutting of the pork! expert according to the tour guide!

Next up, Everland! We only manage to spend 3hours because, the tour guide gave us short time and it was raining heavily after we visited the main attraction! sigh…too bad because there are much to see! at least i had a ride in human sky (it’s like ski cable car)! i manage to see polar bear and penguins! lastly, the famous Liger (lion+tiger mated cub)

Due to the rain, it took us almost 3hours ride because of traffic jam, but luckily there is a special lane for buses! At last, we have reached our diner place! yum yum samgyetang (Korean ginseng chicken soup), it has rice inside the chicken!

27th July : it was still raining quite heavy in Seoul and it rained the whole day! but today, our itinerary consist of shopping only! haha…we went to Korean Ginseng shop, Amethyst Factory, special shop that selling medicine which cleans your liver (most Korean people likes to drink Soju, so they will eat the ‘liver cleaning’ med after Soju drinks!), cosmetics and shop selling local products.

Some of the shops dont allow us to take photo, so i have limited photo of my last day of tour! A photo me & tour guide! when he smile, he dont have eyes and i think he is quite cute! He told us, his wife asked him to do surgery for double eyelids! LOL! he brought us to Lotte World Duty Free shopping before 2 of them depart for airport, 4 of them going to Jeju Island with tour guide and balance 4 (include me&dear) on free&easy!

28th July: Astoria Hotel since 1959 is where we stayed for the last night of our trip! small room but it is clean and close to Myeong Dong, a hot spot for shopping and close to Lotte World, which is about 10-15mins walk! We are also about 8mins walk from taking shuttle bus to Incheon Airport! very convenient!

Our brunch at Paris Baguette (a franchise cafe, where u can see it everywhere)

On foot, we walked about half an hour to Dong Dae Mun market! There isnt much to see there so we decided to go for Nam Dae Mun market! We took subway which cost 1000won (RM2.9), which is 4stations away!  It was a big market and there are a lot of food but we were too full to try anything else! Before we left, we had kim chi pao!

My dear referring to map so we could walk to Lotte World & Myeong Dong, about 15mins away! Because it is raining every moment, each and every shop or mall have a machine where customer can slot their umbrella into the plastic bag! i mean LITERALLY all shop have it and it is such a waste of plastic bags!

Our lunch, Lotte Ria (it’s like an imitation of McD,but not as tasty as McD and slightly expensive)

Finally, it is time to leave for airport! We had Bulgogi McD as diner!

After immigration, we went to collect our Duty Free goods bought from Lotte World (tee hee hee!~) We paid for the purchase goods and collects it at a specific place after custom clearance! I tell u, there are A LOT of purchased goods there!! seriously…A LOT!! so u can imagine the number of tourist!

Before i depart, i managed to shop at airport Duty Free Shop! lol…i almost broke my credit card! shopped so much till my dear’s hand also wanna putus from carrying my stuff!!! oh ya, i wanna show u the machine where u sign on it and it will print out your signature on the slip!

Signing off with my trip with skincare purchases!

Some facts of Korea which told by my tour guide:

1. About 25% of the population with ‘Kim’ surname and 15% with ‘Lee’ surname

2. Current Korea President did 2 good deeds since after public voting Lee Myung-bak, one of them is creating a bus lane specially for buses or 9 seater vehicle  to ease traffic! the other good thing, i dont remember!

3. Most Korean lives up to 80 years old, i think this is due to their food consumption. their steamboat soup base, clear…well, Malaysia definitely rank No 1 for food variety!

4. Kim chi is very popular because Korean people eat it as a slimming food (sour and bit spicy).

5. Korean buys local car because it gives 5yr guarantee of service while foreign car only have 2yr!

6. Mr Kim, tour guide plans to have his daughter to under-go surgery for a double eye-lid at the age of 4-5yrs old! *he says it’s less fearful for the child when they are young* SERIOUS???

7. Men love their faces (appearances too)! even men at least have 2 basic skin care products, i dont remember one of them but the other is sunblock. OUR DRIVER has a range of skin care too…*sweat*

My own facts:

1. Korean dont have chili sauce, even their chili padi isnt as hot as Malaysia (I MISS SPICY FOOD)

2. Their steamboat ( mayb bcoz i followed tour) was not as good as Malaysia in terms of variety of soup base or food choice!

3. All men and women of Korean love being beautiful! Korean market targets men skincare as well..my tour guide brought sample size of skin care products whenever he has to lead a tour! =.=”

4. Korean can speak better mandarin& Japanese  than English! weird hor…mayb bcoz they target China & Japan ppl! but anyway, u can always use sign language which i did, by using hand and $ money notes! lol..

For more photo, please click here & here!! That’s all for now!!

p/s: Apparently there is flood in Seoul and i thank God it didn’t affect my trip! Thank God for all Malaysian safely reach KL! oh yeah…nice to meet all the tour gang too! i had so much fun with u all!

Hada Labo 2nd Anniversary

oh yes, i have been lazy again (erm, i mean busy!) Here’s my short experience with Hada Labo event on 2nd July!

Dress in light blue and white is their theme for the day and it is held as Full House, Sunway Giza! Hada Labo booked the whole place for the event and it’s really grand with 100 people attending it with media, live band and opening drum show with real Japanese drummer (big drums).

Here are the models for Hada lado:

The host for the night :

Here are us in blue-ish photo:

Our goodies:

My haul (tee hee hee…):

We had buffet diner (great food) but not so great people…they were probably very hungry and grabbed all the food (oh yes, a plate full of salmon fish) and left none for those behind. wanted to wait for refill, but way too hungry…so decide to eat whatever we have first coz the table we were sitting way too small for our dishes(plates too big)! anyway, the food was great…atmosphere was superb but our seating table was way too far from the main hosting!

one of our games, to arrange the puzzle and the fastest group wins! but….we didn’t win! haha…but we enjoyed the time we had there! especially Chui Ling was really humorous and such a joyful to have her as Hada Labo host!

well, i do hope i will be able to join next year anniversary event! thanks for giving us opportunity to join the event and giving us the privilege to buy the products at discounted price (and grab hold of new products which were not in the market!) oh yeah!! Hada Lado Rocks!
